Getting ready

Since this is the first app you are building from scratch, you need to ensure that you have followed through Chapter 1, Creating Our First App with Ionic, to set up the environment and Ionic CLI. If you already had Ionic 1, it must be updated. For this, you can use the same command line as was used to install it, which is as follows:

$ sudo npm install -g cordova ionic ios-sim
