Lesson 25　……whiIe/whereas……然而……

句型“……while/whereas……”属于对照比较句型，标准形式是“第一分句A+while/whereas+第二分句B”。“while”和“whereas”常常用来连接两个意义对立的分句，表示“而”。

Tips

“while”的常用用法有三种：

第一种作为连词引导时间状语从句。He was playing games while his father came in.他爸爸进来时他正在玩游戏。

第二种作为连词引导条件状语从句。While there is life, there is hope.留得青山在，不愁没柴烧。

第三种作为连词引导让步状语从句。While I lost in the game, I still had confidence in myself.虽然我在比赛中失败了，我仍然对自己有信心。
